OREGON WINE TRAIL TRADE TASTING (12:30 PM-4 PM)

We're hitting the trail with 50 Oregon wineries, and our friends at Olympia Provisions, Salt & Straw Ice Cream and Stumptown Coffee Roasters for a grand happening of Oregonian wine, food and personality. No white table cloths, no orange cheese cubes, instead a generous pour of Oregon’s fine wine and pioneering spirit.

You see, Oregon is a state, and a damn fine one. But Oregonian is a state of mind. You’ve got to experience it to truly get it. So join winemakers and owners from 50 Oregon wineries, representing the state’s broad geographic and varietal diversity, for an afternoon evocative of Oregon wine country in downtown LA. From legacy Pinot noir to unexpected whites and a few surprises in between, we invite you to grab a glass and find your Oregon wine trail.

Oregon Side Trips:

Sometimes the best memories from a journey are the unexpected side trips along the way. Veer off the Oregon wine trail to go deep with Pacific Northwest-based Masters Bree Boskov MW and Chris Tanghe MS as they lead three education pop-up sessions that will test your knowledge and expand your palate.

MASTERING OREGON SEMINAR (11:30 AM-1 PM) - [Please Sign Up for the Waitlist if You Are Interested]

Oregon wine is on a roll in California. According to Nielsen data, Oregon wine sales increased 37% in California last year. Eric Asimov of The New York Times must have felt that same momentum when he recently wrote, “Oregon is right now the single most exciting winemaking area in the United States.”

Why is this little wine region, just 1% of the total US wine production, making such a big impression on California and across the country?

Join Pacific Northwest-based Masters, Bree Boskov MW and Chris Tanghe MS for a multi-faceted presentation and discussion on the AVAs, varieties and business of wine in the Willamette Valley and beyond.

Bree and Chris will share personal stories of discovery around the region and lead a tasting through boutique wines from small producers that have left an impression on them over the years, including wines from Cayuse, Brickhouse, Minimus and more.

Attend Mastering Oregon to walk away with a stronger understanding of:

  • Oregon’s strong selling points in the competitive Southern California wine market
  • The diverse geology of Oregon
  • The key factors contributing to Oregon’s climate and climate’s impact on wine production
  • Varietal diversity by region
